Hear, There, and Everywhere

The Solanco High School “Black & Gold” Marching Band proudly presents our 2022 production: “Hear, There, and Everywhere!”—The Music of The Beatles!!!

Founded on the principles of pride, dedication, and hard work, the “Black & Gold” Marching Band is honored to represent the Solanco School District and community at performances throughout the Lancaster-Lebanon League and beyond. In addition to our football and parade performances, the “Black & Gold” Marching Band will be performing in Pennsylvania Marching Band Coalition Showcase events at Lancaster Catholic, Manheim Township, and JP McCaskey High Schools throughout the fall marching band season.

Our show features legendary Beatles hits including: Magical Mystery Tour/Lady Madonna, Eleanor Rigby, Blackbird/Yesterday, and Hey Jude/Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

All of the musical arrangements are by Tom Wallace and Jay Bocook; special musical arrangements by Sam Broomell; the drill is written by Ken Zimmerman; Color Guard choreography is by Debbie and Tiffany Shrom with assistance from Ava Elliott, Stephenie Zdrojewski, and Karen Huber. Percussion instruction is by Jared Drennen. The voice of the “Black & Gold” Marching Band is David Bailey. The assistant band director is Karen Huber and the director of bands is Scott Weyman.

Student Section Leaders for 2022 are: Woodwinds—Olivia Musser and Reese Zander; Brass—Caleb Cutler and Charlie Golden; Percussion—Sawyer Weyman and Nick Williams; Color Guard—Devan McFadden. Drum Majors are Senior Emma Zdrojewski and Junior Taylor Sexton.

The “Black & Gold” Band would like to thank the Solanco Music Boosters, high school principal Mr. Scott Long, assistant superintendent Dr. Robert Dangler, and superintendent Dr. Brian Bliss for their support of all of our music program.
